Consulting
Well-grounded technical decisions before you invest
SafeCore provides professional advice on building, modernising and developing information and communication systems and cyber protection systems. The company supports the client at every stage of digital transformation — from needs analysis to the rollout of finished solutions. Recommendations are based on the state of your environment, not on a template scenario.

Service scope
What SafeCore consulting covers
The scope of work is shaped around the specific task. Below are the areas the company’s specialists work in.
-
Assessment of the current IT infrastructure
We record what the environment consists of: hardware, networks, systems, licences and the dependencies between services.
-
Identifying risks and critical security points
We show where the environment is vulnerable to failure and attack, and what each point of failure would lead to.
-
Strategy for developing the IT environment
We align the direction of development with business goals: what to change first, what to postpone, what to replace.
-
Architecture of future solutions
We prepare the conceptual model before design begins, so the solution is not reworked during implementation.
-
Compliance with internal and international standards
We check the architecture and processes against the requirements the organisation sets for its own IT environment.
Scope boundaries. Provided separately: IT infrastructure design and deployment, cybersecurity and audit, implementation and system integration.
Situations
When IT consulting is needed
Consulting is worth it when the decision has not been taken yet and the cost of a mistake is already high.
-
Infrastructure grew ad hoc
There are now more systems than documents. Nobody holds the full picture of the environment, and every change turns into a risk.
-
The IT budget needs justifying
Management needs to see which IT investments are warranted, in what order to make them and what happens if they are deferred.
-
A major change is coming
A migration, a new site or a merger of systems. An architectural mistake at exactly this point is the most expensive one.
-
The person responsible for IT has changed
A new head of IT has inherited an undocumented environment and needs an independent assessment of what they took on.
Process
How a consulting project runs
Every step ends in a specific result that you see before moving to the next one.
-
Analysis of business needs
We study the goals, tasks and current challenges of the organisation. The output is an agreed list of tasks for the IT environment.
-
Audit of the current infrastructure
We assess the state of IT systems, networks and security. The output is a description of the environment with a list of risks and critical points.
-
Shaping the solution architecture
We develop the conceptual model and the technical approach. The output is a target architecture and the options for reaching it.
-
Action plan and priorities
We agree the sequence of changes and what gets done first. The output is a plan with the reasoning behind every step.
These are steps 1–3 of the eight in the SafeCore approach: design, implementation, testing and support follow. The full approach.
What is needed from the client — access to information about the environment and participation in the checkpoints.
Result
What you receive as a result
Materials are handed over in a form your team or any contractor can work from.
- A description of the current state of the IT infrastructure
- A list of risks and critical security points
- A strategy for developing the IT environment
- The architecture of future solutions with delivery options
- A conclusion on compliance with the organisation’s standards
Questions
Frequently asked questions about consulting
How long does a consulting project take?
The duration depends on the size of the environment and the number of systems to be covered. Timelines are fixed after the preliminary analysis — before that, any estimate would be guesswork. You receive an indicative schedule together with the list of work and see it before the start.
What does the cost of the service depend on?
On the size of the environment, the number of sites and systems, the depth of analysis and the format of the final materials. The calculation is made once the list of tasks and the project boundaries have been agreed. The initial discussion of your needs happens before that and commits you to nothing.
What is needed from our team?
Access to information about the environment and a few meetings with the people responsible for IT and for the business tasks. The technical work sits with SafeCore specialists; from the client we need answers to our questions and sign-off on decisions at the checkpoints.
Can we order consulting on its own?
Yes. Consulting is a standalone service, and its result can be delivered by your own team or by another contractor. If you continue working with SafeCore, the next steps are design and implementation.
How does consulting differ from an audit?
An audit answers the question “what is the state right now” and belongs to cybersecurity and audit. Consulting takes that result to answer “what to do next”, and carries it through to an architecture and an action plan.
Next step
Ready to assess the state of your IT infrastructure?
Start with a conversation about the task — the scope and timelines are set after the preliminary analysis.
